Bloated Stomach: Additional Side Benefits of a Good Diet
I am going to talk about a side benefit that is not mentioned very often when talking about a bloated stomach:
Well I got my diet really really clean, where I found
a real peace with my food, and stayed there for a
while. I noticed this amazing peace where I wasn’t
having cravings or hunger.
After feeling this peace for a while, when I tested
certain foods because I had so much peace, it was much
more noticeable when foods started messing with my
peace. Cravings started coming back around, I’d want
more and more of that food, etc.
Bloated Stomach and the right Potassium Levels in Your Body
AThis is a place you can go to to find more about the right potassium levels and avoid the bloated stomach
Check out <http://www.ars.usda.gov/Services/docs.htm?docid=9673> and
scroll down to “Potassium”. You can view a PDF that lists foods and their
potassium content. Obviously, not all of the foods on the list are
appropriate for us, but the list can definitely be helpful.
For the last two days,
I’ve supplemented with 600mg of potassium citrate, and it’s really made a
difference in how I feel. My feet aren’t all swollen like they were, I
don’t have the muscle pain that I was having, I’m feeling more energetic,
and I feel like my BP must be a bit lower too (which is a good thing for
me.) Potassium is VERY important!
A bloated Stomach and Vitamin C
this is why it is important to take vitamin C when feeling a bloated stomach:
The thing is, there are some supplements that you just can’t get in
adequate amounts from food. Vit C is a good example. Our bodies don’t
synthesize vitamin C anymore, and the amounts we need just aren’t
available in food. Even a healthy person should take 3,000-5,000mg of Vit
C per day to maintain Vit C stores in case of sickness. I’m pretty sure
that none of us could eat enough broccoli in a day to get that kind of Vit
C.
Sugars and a Bloated Stomach
these are things to lower the amount of sugars in your body to lower your bloated stomach:
Maybe you could up your
nuts as you decrease your fruit. That’d lower your carbs more gradually
AND increase your protein a bit. I would guess that the fruit’s causing
you more issues than anything else, so maybe you could start by limiting
your fruit just to low-GI stuff (like the berries). Then, once you work
your way toward getting rid of the berries, you can also work on building
the protein a bit. 10% of calories from protein just seems awfully low to
me. Protein is vital when it comes to rebuilding your tissues, hair,
skin, etc. If you’re not taking in enough protein, then your body has to
get it from somewhere, and that means it’s going to tear down you muscles
to get it. Not a very pleasant thought, I wouldn’t imagine.
Considerations with a Bloated Stomach
If you suffer from a bloated stomach, you need to be careful of temptations:
I find that when I’m most tempted to eat off plan, it’s either an
emotional need (like seeing my son’s birthday cake this weekend that was
just SCREAMING to me), or I’ve unintentionally introduced something to
which I’m reacting. As a for instance, last year I was having a lot of
cravings and I wasn’t losing weight. (I’m obese, and my goal is to cure
my candida and get to a healthy weight.) Anyway, I’d switched brands of
magnesium citrate, and it turned out that the new brand had rice powder in
it. You wouldn’t think rice powder would make that much of a difference,
but my problems went away and the weight started to come off again after I
eliminated that brand of Mg citrate.
Sometimes we have to be SO careful!
How I Got Rid of My Bloated Stomach
I decided to create this site to help people dealing with a bloated stomach find a natural and long-lasting solution.
You see, I had to deal with the gas stomach bloating for the majority of my adult life. I tried every over-the-counter and prescription drug available. Most of them only offered me temporary relief. It got so bad that I had to take pain killers at night so I could sleep a few hours at a time.
After trying all these drugs, doctors told me to get used to living with it for the rest of my life. However, I knew that I could not keep living like this because I wanted to enjoy my children fully.
I made the decision to investigate on my own for a way to get rid of the bloating. I visited public libraries and the Internet. I started to find more natural ways to deal with the bloating but nothing provided me with the long-lasting relieve I was looking for.
Finally, I found a site that explained the reasons for the stomach bloating feelings in a way that made sense for me. Since I didn’t have anything to loose, I decided to give it a try.
After two weeks of using this new method, I was surprised to find that most of the bloating and pain were gone. Because of it, I started to feel a profound sense of well-being that I hadn’t felt before.
Since I started to use this method, I have slept through the night, and I have got rid of most of the drugs in the cabinets. As a side benefit, I have lost a few extra pounds and feel a lot like I have a lot more energy.
Also, it has given me back a quality of life that I didn’t know I could enjoy. I feel now well enough to enjoy my children fully.
The method I found to work for me is totally natural. The main part of the method has to do with learning how to help your body digest the food you eat in an easier and quicker way to avoid the bloated stomach.
What I enjoy the most from this method is that I can have a great quality of life and plenty of energy while eating the food I love to eat.
The one negative point is that you have to plan with some time what foods you are going to eat at the same time. However, I think it is a small price to pay given the benefits I have experience in my life.
Please take your time to read the articles in this site as I have explained the basics of how the method works.
I hope you find the information useful.
